Our Philosophy ... is based on honesty and we never promise anything that we cannot deliver. Let’s state first what we do not do: 1) We do not advertise a 100% pass rate, because nobody can guarantee that you will pass the Instructor Exam (IE). Success depends on each candidate’s performance during the Instructor Exam. 2) We will not try to tell you that “we are the best”.... who would buy that anyway? 3) We will not tell you during the course that you are doing fine until the last day and then tell you that you need remedial sessions or to repeat the IDC at extra expense. 4) We do not advertise our courses at ridiculous prices, then add ‘hidden’ charges afterwards. 5) We will not add extra unnecessary knowledge sessions to the regular PADI IDC Curriculum, as this would only make the course too difficult. And this is what we do instead: 1) We do our best to make the IDC and IE an enjoyable experience for candidates, IDC Staff and even PADI Examiners, and we succeed on a daily basis... Fun does not diminish the effectiveness of the course, but it makes it a much more memorable event in your life.
2) We will tell you, in advance, what you will need to revise from your previous courses, so that you arrive properly prepared to start the course. There are many subjects that are not covered in your Instructor Development Course, but do appear in the Instructor Exam: there will not be time to do a lot of ‘catching up’ during the IDC! 3) We will tell you, from the beginning, what we expect from you so that you can make the most out of the course. 4) We will ask your opinion about your experience with us, as this is the only way we can improve. Over the years, we have regularly updated the way we conduct this intensive nine day course, in response to feedback from our candidates. They are the ones who can really tell us what is best for them. 5) During the IDC, starting from your first presentation, we will give you our honest opinion about your performance, because we believe that the learning process is more effective with rapid and accurate feedback- that’s what you pay us for. 6) We offer excellent services at a fair price. To charge less for an instructor course than a beginner course is not reasonable. We believe that we offer excellent value for money, especially on the services to the candidates in organizing, solving and answering all matters prior to the start of the course, during the course and after. 7) At the end of the course, there are three possible situations: a) All is ok; you are ready to go to the exam. This is our opinion based on your performance, but not an assurance that you will pass. b) You have a passing score, but we have concerns about certain evaluation areas: we will sign your IDC Completion paperwork which allows you to participate to the IE (this is mandatory by PADI Standards), but we suggest you not to go to the exam or to take care in these areas. c) You have not achieved a passing score. We cannot sign your IDC Completion paperwork (by PADI Standards). As an indication of our confidence, we promise that if you take the IDC or OWSI course with us and you are unsuccessful in either the IDC or the IE, you can repeat the program with us for free! This means that, in any of the above cases, if you are unsuccessful in either the IDC or the IE, all the remediation necessary is FREE OF CHARGE with us. That allows us and you to decide whether to go for the IE (or not) based only on the level of preparation, without any worries about any financial considerations. IMPORTANT: THE FINAL DECISION TO GO TO THE EXAM IS ENTIRELY IN THE CANDIDATE’S HANDS: WE CAN ONLY MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS. In conclusion, we believe that experience, honesty and clarity are the best customer service and the basis for a long term relationship with our candidates and other partners within the recreational diving industry.
